Hi-Wire Brewing Opening in Durham’s Golden Belt Campus

Alliance has been working with Hi-Wire-Brewing on the design of their new taproom at Durham’s Golden Belt Campus, and we’re so excited that the opening is just around the corner! Check out this article from the News & Observer:

There won’t be a full scale brewing operation, but Hi-Wire owners Chris Frosaker and Adam Charnack say they may build a small pilot system on site for one-off beers.

The Triangle is Hi-Wire’s second largest market outside its home in Western North Carolina, the owners said in a press release.

“We’ve felt for some time like (the Triangle is) a second home to us, and we’ve been looking for ways to root ourselves in the community,” Charnack said in the release. “So while a taproom outside of our two primary breweries wasn’t necessarily part of our Day-One-Business-Plan, we’ve realized how important it is both for Hi-Wire and for our fans to have more ways to connect with the brewery. We’ve been looking for the right opportunity for some time now, and feel as though we’ve really nailed it with our new Durham spot.”

Hi-Wire’s new taproom is the first outside investment in the Triangle’s thirsty beer scene, itself home to more than a dozen breweries. It could open as early as October.
