Pairwise, an agricultural technology firm, teamed with Alliance Architecture in 2019 to design an office space in Durham’s vibrant Golden Belt Campus. The company utilizes CRISPR technology to edit the genes of fruits and vegetables such as blackberries and kale, with the goal to make them more widely consumed. The Durham startup recently raised $90M from investors that will help launch their products in store and prompt growth at their locations.
