Avalara – East Coast HQ

Who knew creating tax software could be so much fun? Headquartered in Seattle, Avalara is a growing creator of products used by accountants and small businesses. Alliance designed and built the company’s east-coast hub in Durham, NC. The project took advantage of the building’s wide frontage, overlooking the Durham Bulls Ballpark, to create a thrilling sense of place. The new structure blends branded colors, tiki huts and vintage wood to form bleachers and sightlines onto the outfield and across the stadium. This design has become the template for Avalara offices worldwide.
