Motivated by simplifying Information Technology management while cultivating a playful atmosphere, Nutanix has succeeded in transforming how IT teams around the world build and operate multi-cloud architectures. Driven by customer service and invested in approaching client challenges as their own, Nutanix team members are not only problem-solvers, but also creators, boundary-pushers, and visionaries. (Our favorite type of client!) With an eye on inventing for the future, Nutanix recognized its need for a working environment that both accommodates and cultivates their cutting-edge approach to the ever-evolving world of Information Technology. Nutanix engaged Alliance Architecture to design such a space.

Alliance renovated the seventh floor and a portion of the sixth floor in Downtown Durham’s iconic Chesterfield building, originally constructed in 1948, to integrate a piece of Durham’s rich history into this adaptive re-use project. In this vein of revitalization, the interior workplace design was conceived with visions of revolutionizing the way Nutanix communicates. With areas exposing original finishes and dedicated to open workstations, conference rooms, a spacious cafeteria, and a recreation room, teams have the opportunity to brainstorm in a variety of ways and convert inspiration into solutions. The project was a true synergy of innovation.
