Savona Mill Campus

Built initially as a textile mill in Charlotte, Savona Mill is a series of historic structures (1910-1950) that had fallen into disrepair by the 1990’s. Portman Associates retained Alliance to design the transformation of the campus into a center for creative workplaces. As a historic tax credit project, the scope included full restoration of all systems and included masonry and windows. An extensive landscape design element was part of the solution as the project was integrated into a Mecklenburg County stream restoration and trail system.
